Breathe Deep tea is an Ayurvedic blend of herbs and spices formulated to enhance healthy breathing. This healing formula utilizes Organic Thyme, an herb whose active ingredient, thymol, helps to loosen phlegm and relax the muscles of the respiratory tract. We have also included Organic Australian Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus) and Elecampane (Inula helenium), pungent herbs that clear the mucous membranes and are beneficial to total respiratory health. Organic Basil is a warming adaptogenic herb traditionally used to support the respiratory system and help the body adjust to stress; and Organic Ginger Root soothes the stomach and aids with digestion. The formula is enhanced with Organic Mullein, a cooling herb soothing to the mucous membranes. It is recommended that this tea be sweetened with a teaspoon or two of honey, which has been traditionally known to support the body’s expectoration process.

For best tea infusion, pour 8 oz boiling water over one Breathe Deep® tea bag and steep for 5 to 10 minutes. For a stronger effect, use 2 tea bags. Gently squeeze each tea bag to fully release the active ingredients. We recommend adding a teaspoon or two of honey to support the body’s expectoration process. Drink a cup every hour to help open breathing. Drink 2–3 cups per day during cold weather or to clear the breathing passages.
