Scandinavian Formulas’ STRIX® Bilberry Extract contains Microselect®, the Original Bilberry Extract obtained exclusively from Vaccinium Myrtillus L., specifically from the skin and pulp of the berry, and standardized to contain 36% anthocyanosides (equivalent to 25% anthocyanidins), Bilberry Fruit Powder and Lutein from marigold petals.
Bilberry has been widely known to herbalists since the 16th century. This close relative of blueberries contains over 15 different naturally-occuring anthocyanosides (flavonoids) that contain beneficial antioxidant properties.
